The 9/11 Memorial, designed by architects Michael Arad and Peter Walker, stands in the exact footprints of the former North and South Towers of the World Trade Center. Their design, titled “Reflecting Absence,” features two massive reflecting pools with cascading waterfalls – the largest man-made waterfalls in the United States. The flowing water symbolizes remembrance and loss, while nearly 400 surrounding trees create a quiet space for reflection in the heart of Lower Manhattan.
Your visit also includes access to the 9/11 Museum, where exhibitions are divided into three main sections: before 9/11, the day of 9/11, and after 9/11. Through authentic artifacts, photographs, multimedia displays, and personal stories, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the events and their global impact. First-hand accounts and recovered items from the site offer a moving and educational experience.
