Program Description
Barcelona Port Cable Car is one of Barcelona’s most iconic attractions, allowing you to admire the city during a unique ride above the harbour. The cable car connects Montjuïc hill with the seaside district of Barceloneta, offering views of Port Vell, the Mediterranean coastline and the famous architecture of the Catalan capital.
You will board a historic cable car suspended high above the city and follow a route through one of Barcelona’s most recognisable areas. During the ride, you will see the lively harbour, city streets and the coastal panorama stretching along the Mediterranean. It is the perfect opportunity to take memorable photos and admire the city’s most important landmarks from above.
The cable car route connects Montjuïc hill with the seaside district of Barceloneta, allowing you to enjoy panoramic views of Barcelona, Port Vell and the Mediterranean coast. Please note that Barcelona Port Cable Car is different from the Montjuïc Cable Car, which takes visitors towards Montjuïc Castle.
A ride on the Barcelona Port Cable Car combines a sightseeing experience with the chance to discover Barcelona from a different angle. During your journey, you will see the contrast between the city’s architecture, the blue waters of the sea and the green slopes of Montjuïc, creating a memorable experience during your stay in the Catalan capital.

- Access from Sant Sebastià Tower (Barceloneta Beach)
- Pets are not allowed
- One-way tickets from Barcelona Beach to Montjuic Mountain are available only onsite. There are usually waiting lines because of the reduced capacity
- Kids under 6 can ride for free, no ticket needed
- The last trip is 60 minutes before closing time
- Please go directly to the elevator line
- The cable car may be subject to exceptional temporary closures due to external reasons such as strong winds or stormy weather
- Not suitable for wheelchair users

If any comments or concerns arise during the performance of the contract by the Provider, they can be reported at the location where the tourism service is provided.
