Program Description

Discover two of Romania's most iconic castles on a journey into the heart of Transylvania. Travelling through the spectacular Carpathian Mountains, you'll visit the fairy-tale Peleș Castle and the legendary Bran Castle, famously associated with the Dracula legend.

After hotel pick-up, you'll leave Bucharest and travel towards Transylvania, following one of Romania's most scenic mountain routes through the Carpathians.

Your first stop is Sinaia, an elegant mountain resort and home to Peleș Castle, the former summer residence of the Romanian royal family. Renowned for its magnificent architecture and lavish interiors, the castle is considered one of the most beautiful royal residences in Europe. Visitors who wish may explore the castle's interior, followed by free time to enjoy the surroundings.

The journey then continues to the village of Bran, home to the famous Bran Castle, widely known as Dracula's Castle. Perched dramatically on a rocky hilltop, this medieval fortress has become one of Romania's most visited landmarks. Visitors who wish may explore the castle independently.

Please note that, under the castle's current visitor regulations, external guides are not permitted to provide guided tours or explanations inside Bran Castle or its inner courtyard. Your guide will present the history and key information about the castle on the coach before arrival.

After the visit, you'll return to your hotel.

The itinerary and programme may be subject to change.
