Program Description
A walk through the lively streets of Valletta reveals the beauty of this fortified city, built by the Knights of St. John in 1566. The Order ruled the Maltese islands for over 250 years, leaving behind a remarkable cultural legacy, of which Valletta is the finest example.
The tour begins with a visit to the Upper Barracca Gardens, offering stunning views over the Grand Harbour – one of the most impressive natural harbours in Europe.
Next, you will visit St John’s Co-Cathedral, where you can admire richly decorated interiors and the famous masterpieces by Caravaggio.
As you continue along Republic Street, you will pass key landmarks such as the Grand Master’s Palace and St George’s Square.
The programme also includes The Malta Experience – an audiovisual presentation showcasing the history of Malta through the centuries.
