Program Description
Discover Venice on a guided walking tour through its historic centre, exploring both its iconic landmarks and hidden corners that reveal the city's unique character. The tour begins in St. Mark's Square, the heart of Venice, before continuing to some of the city's most fascinating landmarks. Along the way, you will visit Santa Maria Formosa and the magnificent Basilica of Santi Giovanni e Paolo, often referred to as the "Pantheon of Venice" due to its importance as the burial place of many Venetian doges.
Your guide will share stories about the city's history, the influential Scuole Grandi, and the legendary captains of fortune. You will also discover the location of Marco Polo's House and admire the historic Teatro Malibran, one of Venice's oldest opera houses.
The walk concludes along Mercerie, the historic shopping street linking Rialto Bridge with St. Mark's Square, where you will have free time to continue exploring at your own pace.
