Program Description
During this tour, you will immerse yourself in the daily life of an ancient city, forever frozen in history, and then discover the flavours and traditions of the Mount Vesuvius region.
Upon arrival in Pompeii, you will meet your guide and spend around two hours exploring the remarkably preserved ruins of the city. Walking along ancient streets, you will learn about the customs and everyday life of the inhabitants of ancient Pompeii. You will see the monumental theatre, the necropolis, the thermal baths, and impressive houses once owned by the wealthiest citizens. Each site tells the story of a city stopped in time by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius.
The next part of the tour takes you to the vineyards located on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius. During a guided walk through the vineyards, you will discover the origins of local wines and what gives them their distinctive character.
After an inspiring exploration, it’s time to relax and indulge in a Mediterranean lunch, accompanied by regional wines such as Falanghina, Lacryma Christi, Aglianico and other well-known varieties. This is the perfect moment to savour the authentic tastes of the area and end the day in a truly atmospheric setting.
