Program Description
Descend beneath the lively streets of Naples and explore a hidden world shaped by more than 2,400 years of history. Beneath the historic city centre lies a fascinating network of underground spaces that reveals how Naples has evolved from ancient times to the present day.
Accompanied by a guide, make your way through historic tunnels and chambers while learning about the different ways these underground spaces were used over the centuries. Visit the remains of an ancient theatre and discover an impressive aqueduct system that supplied Naples with water for around 23 centuries.
This journey beneath the city offers a completely different perspective on Naples, uncovering layers of history hidden below its streets and revealing traces of the people who lived here thousands of years ago.
