Program Description
During this excursion, You will discover one of Italy’s most extraordinary historical sites - the ancient city of Pompeii, which was buried under volcanic ash after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. This journey offers a fascinating glimpse into the daily life of a Roman city preserved for nearly two thousand years beneath layers of ash and lava.
The tour begins with a guided walk through the vast archaeological site of Pompeii. Once a thriving port and wealthy Roman metropolis, the city played an important role in supplying goods to ancient Rome. To this day, its paved streets, houses, thermal baths, restaurants and former inns have remained remarkably well preserved, allowing You to imagine what life looked like before the catastrophic eruption.
Next, You will travel up to Mount Vesuvius - the most famous volcano in continental Europe, rising above the Bay of Naples. During the visit, You will admire spectacular volcanic landscapes and panoramic coastal views. There will also be an opportunity to walk near the crater and experience from up close the volcano that forever changed the history of Pompeii.
This excursion combines history, nature and unforgettable scenery in one of the most fascinating regions of Italy.

Reviews
A wonderful trip, full of impressions and beautiful views, I recommend it
The tour is worth buying – Mount Vesuvius is incredibly impressive, especially since you can peer down to the floor from the path along the crater`s crown. Pompeii, a key archaeological site and a large Roman city dating back to the 1st century AD, is also worth seeing. The guide spoke engagingly about it and led us through a large part of the complex. I give it 5* for the destination, subtracting 1* for the organization – there was no time for a midday meal or souvenirs in Pompeii. The morning stop at the gas station was too short – 15 minutes for a restroom, buying and eating croissants next to a bus with over 40 people. This is definitely not enough.
