Program Description
Set sail aboard a traditional kaiki, a classic Greek fishing boat, and discover the breathtaking beauty of Laganas Bay, one of Zakynthos' most spectacular coastal areas and an important habitat for the endangered Caretta caretta sea turtles. This excursion is perfect for those looking to combine stunning scenery, wildlife and relaxation at sea.
After pick-up from the meeting point, you'll travel to the small harbour of Limanaki in Agios Sostis, where your cruise begins. As you sail across the bay, you may have the unique opportunity to spot Caretta caretta sea turtles in their natural habitat. These remarkable marine creatures can grow up to one metre in length and are one of Zakynthos' most iconic wildlife attractions.
The cruise continues to Marathonisi, also known as Turtle Island, where you'll enjoy free time to relax on the beach, swim and soak up the peaceful surroundings.
Next, you'll visit the impressive Keri Caves, where you'll have time to swim in the crystal-clear waters. Depending on the weather conditions, the itinerary includes two or three swimming stops, allowing you to fully enjoy the beauty of the Ionian Sea.
After the cruise, you'll return to the harbour and transfer back to your designated drop-off point.
The order of visits and the programme may be subject to change.
