Program Description
During this catamaran cruise around Santorini and the island of Thirasia, you will discover the volcanic landscapes of the Cyclades from a completely different perspective. A relaxing sail across the Aegean Sea allows you to admire the island’s dramatic cliffs, stop at beautiful spots perfect for swimming and visit one of the most authentic islands in the archipelago.
The cruise begins at Vlychada Port on the southern coast of Santorini. From here, the catamaran sails along the island’s spectacular shoreline, passing some of its most recognisable landscapes. From the deck you will see the famous Red Beach, the striking white cliffs of White Beach, and the remarkable rock formations of Indian Rocks. Along the way you will also pass the historic Akrotiri Lighthouse, beautifully positioned on the edge of Santorini’s southern cliffs.
The first stop takes place at Mesa Pigadia Beach, a secluded bay hidden among the volcanic rocks of the island’s southern coast. It is a peaceful spot where you can enjoy swimming or try snorkelling in the clear waters.
The catamaran then sails into the impressive Santorini Caldera, formed by one of the most powerful volcanic eruptions in the region’s history. Here you will stop near the famous volcanic hot springs, where you can take a swim in the warm, mineral-rich waters.
The next part of the cruise brings you to the island of Thirasia, located just across the caldera from Santorini. Unlike the lively resorts of Santorini, Thirasia has preserved a calm and traditional Cycladic atmosphere. During the stop you will have time for a swim in the sea, followed by a Greek lunch served on board, which you can enjoy while admiring the sweeping views of the caldera and the Aegean Sea.
On the return journey, the catamaran sails once more along the volcanic cliffs of Santorini. This is the perfect moment to admire the island’s dramatic scenery and capture memorable photos of one of Greece’s most spectacular landscapes.
The order of visits and the programme may be subject to change.
