Program Description
Discover the highlights of Samos on a full-day excursion combining the island's rich history, picturesque villages and authentic local traditions. From ancient archaeological sites to renowned wineries, this tour offers a perfect introduction to one of Greece's most fascinating islands.
Your first stop is Pythagorio, a charming harbour town and UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you'll enjoy a short walk through its historic streets. The journey continues to the Temple of Hera (Heraion), one of the most important archaeological sites in Greece and a sanctuary dedicated to the goddess Hera. If a minimum of 25 participants is reached, an English-guided tour inside the site will be available.
Next, you'll visit the Monastery of Timios Stavros, set in peaceful surroundings with beautiful views across the island. The tour then continues to the traditional village of Koumaradei, where you'll stop at a local pottery workshop and discover one of the island's long-standing crafts.
In the Potami area, you'll have time at leisure to enjoy a coffee or lunch at your own expense before continuing to the village of Kondeika. Here, you'll visit a local winery, where you'll learn about the island's famous winemaking traditions and enjoy a tasting of regional wines.
The excursion also includes a visit to an olive oil factory, where you'll discover the production process behind one of Greece's most iconic products. The final stop is the picturesque fishing village of Kokkari, where you can stroll along the charming harbour and explore its narrow streets before returning.

Reviews
A very nice trip
The tour program was interesting, and Mr. Hugo was a great guide. There were plenty of laughs. It`s a shame it was so short. We were hoping for a walk around Pythagorion. The timing and location of lunch were well-calculated. The visit to the pottery workshop was very interesting.
