Program Description

Discover two sides of Rhodes – the picturesque Lindos and the fascinating medieval city of Rhodes. This combination of spectacular views, history and local atmosphere creates a day full of diverse experiences – from whitewashed houses perched on a hill to stone alleyways steeped in centuries of history.

Your journey begins with a drive towards one of the most beautiful places on the island – Lindos. Even the route itself offers scenic views that set the tone for the day. Together with a local guide, you will explore the charm of this unique village. You may choose to visit the Acropolis of Lindos (optional), where you will see the remains of the ancient Temple of Athena and impressive fortifications overlooking the area. From the top, admire breathtaking views of St Paul’s Bay, a place linked to the arrival of the apostle on the island. As you walk through narrow, cobbled streets, you will feel the authentic atmosphere of traditional Greek architecture and discover corners filled with small shops, cafés and local restaurants. Free time allows you to enjoy the village at your own pace.

Next, you will head towards the island’s capital, passing traditional Greek villages along the way. During the drive, you will see Mandraki Harbour, one of the most recognisable spots in Rhodes, as well as elegant Venetian-style buildings that reflect the island’s rich past.

The highlight of the day is a visit to the medieval city of Rhodes, remarkably preserved and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A walk along the mighty defensive walls and through stone-paved streets will transport you back to the times of the Knights Hospitaller. You will reach the Palace of the Grand Master, one of the island’s most important landmarks, and along the way discover atmospheric squares, courtyards and fountains. It is also a perfect place to take a break – browse local shops, taste regional flavours or relax in one of the traditional tavernas.

Excellent explanation by Ms. Diana, she was able to tell about everything in a very engaging way and answered everything we were interested in. The trip was beautiful, although I would have appreciated more time in Lindos, I was quite stressed finding my way back to the square through the maze of streets and then there was a long queue for the toilet. But otherwise great.
