Program Description
The Akamas Peninsula is one of the most unspoilt and naturally preserved areas of Cyprus – a region of rugged landscapes, sweeping panoramas and protected beaches. During this 4-hour adventure, you will explore the terrain riding a quad bike, reaching places inaccessible to ordinary vehicles. It is an excellent choice for those who want to combine contact with nature and a sense of freedom while discovering the island’s wilder side.
The tour begins at the harbour in Latchi and continues through picturesque Neo Chorio towards the Akamas Peninsula. One of the first stops is at the Smigies viewpoint, offering panoramic views over the coastline and surrounding hills. Travelling by quad provides a completely different perspective and allows closer contact with the landscape.
The route then follows gravel roads and natural trails towards Pitokopos, where the scenery becomes increasingly raw and untouched. A highlight of the tour is a visit to the famous Lara Bay and Turtle Bay – protected areas known as important nesting grounds for sea turtles. A swimming break is planned, giving time to relax in surroundings shaped almost entirely by nature.
The return journey leads through the forested areas of Akamas, with longer off-road sections emphasising the adventurous character of this quad safari experience. The final stop is at Latchi harbour.
This quad tour focuses on the natural beauty of the region – coastal scenery, protected beaches and authentic off-road exploration.
The order of sightseeing and the programme may be subject to change.
