Program Description
Discover the unique, moon-like scenery of Lanzarote on a guided walk through the Los Volcanes Nature Park – an area that perfectly represents the island’s volcanic origin. It’s a great opportunity to see lava flows, volcanic cones and raw, otherworldly landscapes up close.
The route leads through what can be described as an open-air museum of volcanology, where every element of the terrain tells the story of past eruptions. Along the way, you will learn how these volcanic formations were created and how they shaped the island over time.
This is an easy route of approximately 7 km, with a walking time of around 3 hours. A good level of fitness is recommended, and comfortable sports footwear – preferably hiking shoes – is required.
The order of the itinerary and the programme may be subject to change.

Reviews
A 3-hour trek (approx. 7 km) on the edge of Timanfaya National Park. Around one extinct volcano and into the caldera of another. The guide explains in detail the volcanoes, the history, the current state of the park, and details about growing vines in the volcanic tuff pits, including where the water comes from. Frequent stops, a beautiful route, and a small group. Highly recommended! 👩❤️👨
A trip through an interesting area, very well organized and led by a professional guide with a sense of humor.
