Program Description

A visit to the Vatican is an encounter with art, history and spirituality in the heart of Rome. Within the world’s smallest independent state, some of the most treasured masterpieces of European culture are preserved. A day awaits you filled with remarkable discoveries and places that have inspired visitors for centuries.

Your tour begins at the Vatican Museums, where popes have gathered extraordinary art collections over many generations. As you walk through richly decorated halls, you will admire ancient sculptures and Renaissance masterpieces. You will see the Pio Clementino Museum, the renowned sculptures of Laocoön and Apollo, and the impressive Gallery of Maps, celebrated for its detail and scale. The route also includes the Gallery of Candelabra and the Gallery of Tapestries, showcasing exceptional artistic craftsmanship.

The highlight of your visit will be the Sistine Chapel – one of the most iconic sites in the world. Here you can admire Michelangelo’s frescoes, including the monumental Last Judgement. Time spent in this extraordinary space allows you to appreciate the genius of Renaissance art and the importance of this chapel in the history of the Church.

After exploring the museums, you will enter St Peter’s Basilica – the largest church in the world and one of the most significant symbols of Christianity. Inside, you will see Michelangelo’s Pietà and the monumental baldachin rising above the tomb of St Peter. The vast interior, the dome designed by Michelangelo and the richness of decoration make this basilica exceptional both spiritually and architecturally.

At the end of the tour, you will visit St Peter’s Square, designed by Bernini. Known for papal audiences and major religious events, it is also a place where you can pause and admire the grandeur of the Vatican from a wider perspective.
