Program Description

Discover the highlights of the island on a Samos island tour, combining historical sites, local culture and picturesque towns. It’s a great way to experience the island’s diverse character in just one day.

You will start with a visit to Koumaradei, where you will step into a traditional pottery workshop and see local craftsmanship up close. Next, you will visit the Monastery of Timios Stavros, learning about its history during a guided tour. The programme also includes an optional visit to the Temple of Hera - one of the island’s most important archaeological sites (English guiding is available subject to a minimum number of participants).

Your next stop will be Pythagorion, a popular seaside resort, where you will have free time for a coffee or lunch. Afterwards, you will make a short photo stop overlooking Samos Town, before heading to Kokkari - a charming fishing village perfect for a relaxed walk.

Later in the day, you will visit a winery near Kondeika, where you will learn about local wine-making traditions and take part in a wine tasting. To round off the experience, you will stop at an olive oil factory to discover how this essential Mediterranean product is made.
